How to screen print on leatherette and leather items

Screenprinting: if water-based ink develops cracks on the fabric

I need to screen print using stencils on leather and leatherette items. Which product would you recommend, one that’s both opaque and durable?

The Serimat solvent-based ink with matt finish adheres very well to leatherette, which is normally PVC, or alternatively you can opt for the Serigloss with gloss finish

The aforementioned Serimat or the Nylfolex ink both adhere to leather: it depends on the type of tanning the leather has undergone.

All of the above inks need to be diluted with slow thinner 23 in order to achieve the level of viscosity that’s required for the particular technique employed.

We suggest always conducting a test first, because the leather might have undergone certain treatments which could alter its characteristics.
