Today we’re talking about emulsions, or gels. Here’s a summary of which products to use for emulsifying screenprinting screens.
There are many types of screen-printing emulsion, some are very similar to each other. We can more or less divide them into two groups:
– those without diazo and ready-to-use, which are also sensitive to white light: QLT belong to this group;
– those that need to have diazo added and which are only sensitive to UV light: there’s a wide range of these on our site, the one we suggest for beginners is the Screen Sol RM Blu.
Rather than using a solvent to clean the old emulsion from the mesh, a stripper should be used.
