Screen Printing : How to Clean the Frame

How to Clean the Frame

Hello everyone, welcome to a new CPL Fabbrika video.

I’m Federica and today I’m going to explain how to clean the frame after we’ve finished printing.

The first thing to do is to put a sheet of paper or in any case a protection on our printing table because clearly the ink will dirty the printing table.

The first thing to do is to remove all the residual ink on the frame with the step squeegee (which is specially made for this procedure).

Don’t be afraid of scratching or damaging the ink because by applying the right pressure, we can easily recover all the ink and put it back into the jar.

When we have removed almost all the ink (you don’t need to be too precise), we need a lot of paper and, depending on the type of ink used, the product to dilute it well and dissolve the ink.

In the case of Plastisol or solvent-based inks, the appropriate solvent will be needed.
